Our bodies are created to thrive in certain conditions. In the modern world, we can easily forget what our bodies are built to do. Screens keep our minds entertained but freeze our bodies from movement. Unpredictable weather and bugs makes being outside unpleasant at certain times. Pills promise to solve our problems artificially but can lead to side effects and reliance on the pills forever.
- Doing anything outside is good. Whether it’s working, or working on your yard, or hanging out at the park. Go out in nature and breathe in some fresh air as often as possible.
- Eat the food that grew under God’s care. Anything that comes in its natural form (vegetables, fruits, meat) is going to be better for your body than something that has been pulverized into powder, processed, combined with other powders, recreated, renamed, and marketed as something different and novel. Same goes for beverages – water is best!
- Sleep if you’re tired. Learn to take midday 25-minute power nap. Build the discipline to sleep at a reasonable time. Charge your phone outside of the bedroom. We all know that when we are tired, it’s very difficult to make healthy decisions the next day. Think of who you want to be tomorrow, and set that version of you up for success today.
