Most of us choose a protein when eating meals. Some choices are wiser than others for our body.
We don’t need meat every day. Our bodies don’t need meat for every meal. One meal a day with meat is plenty. Eggs can be great substitutes. Challenge yourself by eating vegetarian for 1-2 days a week. Try choosing from the vegetarian part of the menu. Your body will appreciate it.
Choose better meats. Health, sustainability, and cost should all influence what we put into our mouth. Eat more fish and chicken, and less pork and beef. It’s okay to indulge in fancier meat like beef occasionally, like at a party or buffet. But it doesn’t need to be daily.
Note: Besides meat, it’s especially good to have protein after a workout. Try eating natural food to recover, instead of processed foods and drinks.
