Caveats on Weight

We understand that personal weight can be a sensitive and emotional topic. In addition to BMI, there are other health metrics that helps you understand your body better (e.g. DEXA scan).

The scale is a simple tool that we like. Some caveats:

  • Don’t be obsessed. Don’t let the number affect your emotions or propel you to take drastic actions.
  • Be patient. Food takes ~3 days to get through the body. If you eat a big meal and then work out to compensate, you won’t see a difference on the scale immediately.

You are so much more than the number on the scale. Your identity is in being a beautiful creation of God, made to do beautiful things.
